The Seychelles Eye Camps

 

 

- Total of 446 cataract surgeries have been done in the last 4 years

 

- Seychelles was declared a Cataract free zone in February 2008 after the 4th camp

 

- Voluntary services to do these surgeries were provided by Opthalmologists:

W Bro Dr. Ashok K Shah, Dr. Fayaz Khan & Dr. Jyoti Trivedi of Lions Sight First Hospital, Nairobi

 

- 2 theatre nurses from Victoria Hospital, Seychelles have been trained at the Lions Sight First Hospital, Nairobi

 

- Donation of a new ophthalmoscope worth US$1000 to Victoria Hospital, Seychelles
